Prince David Osei has expressed concern at the criticism often lobbed at some female celebrities by Ghanaians.
According to the actor,, these criticisms are too harsh and for 2019 he hopes we would go a little easier on them.
There is a huge swath of female celebrities and what they do to make ends meet. The simple, elegant and classy ones who stick to their jobs mainly escape these criticisms Osei is complaining about but it’s mainly the so-called ‘ashawobrities’ – those who sell their bodies on the side to make ends meet – who are often on the end of bashing.
So what David Osei is basically saying is that Ghanaians should go easier on the ashawobrities.

“Sincerely, one of my greatest wish this year is that I don’t get to read and hear very demeaning comments about my sisters. I don’t even know why they are judged for what they do when it is within the demands of their job,” he said.
“Some of them have negative tags because of some roles they played in the past.
“It is as if fame should be a curse for females. We live in a society where we hail the likes of Beyonce even when they perform almost n*de but will be quick to describe ours as whores even when they are more covered. Is that not hypocrisy?” he wondered.
“…Sometimes while criticising them, we must also take a second look at our lives to know if we are any better. If we could do these things, we would know that we aren’t saints after all.” he added.
