We all have that one person who pushes us to be a better version of ourselves— these people could be anybody at all. They inspire us to persevere and urge on to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
According to RuffTown records signee Wendy Shay, her father was that figure in her life. She revealed in an interview with Lexis Bill her reasons for taking up the nursing profession. She says when her dad was struck with a strange illness which led to his death, she wanted to know more about this said illness and others hence nursing.

“I wanted to be a nurse because of my dad because I lost my dad to a very weird sickness and my mum didn’t know it that well. So [it’s] because I wanted to know what killed him.”
She added that the worst part of being a nurse was “getting racists comments like some patients telling me not to touch them because I’m black… but she dealt with that by “I tell them that if they don’t want my presence I will just leave at the end of the day you are the one in bed, you need help so if you are not nice to me and you want me to leave, I will just leave.”
