Bola Ray Adjudged The Most Influential Personality In The Entertainment Industry

The Chief Executive Officer of the Excellence in Broadcasting (EIB) Network, Bola Ray, has once again been recognized for his unrivalled excellence in one of his many fields of endeavour.

Bola Ray has been adjudged as the most influential personality in the entertainment industry by Shine Publications following a study.

The study, conducted by Shine publications in conjunction with academics from various tertiary institutions, sought to empirically measure the most influential personalities in Ghana’s entertainment sector, and to do so by devolving popularity from influence.

Bola Ray finished top of the list.

Speaking during the presentation of a plaque to Bola Ray to mark the honour, The Managing Director of Shine Publications, Jerry Wonder, extolled the legendary broadcaster’s virtues.

“Bola Ray has been a thriving force in the Ghanaian entertainment industry. His concept, ‘Ghana Meets Naija’, has grown into ‘tool’ that is continually uniting cultures. He, indeed, is a brand that must be encouraged for others to follow, especially in recent times when young acts are more focused on acquiring wealth only rather than merging their ambitions with positive societal impacts,” Shine said.

Bola Ray was presented with the award, the latest in a long line of recognitions for a career par excellence, after hosting an episode of Starr Chat on Starr Fm.

Born Nathaniel Kwabena Anokye Adisi, Bola Ray has had an over decade-long career first in broadcasting, then as a superb business executive running the EIB network. He’s also the brain behind Empire Entertainment, which every year brings Ghanaians the biggest concerts around including the incomparable Ghana Meets Naija.
