The most openly unrepentant ashawobrity of our time, Moesha Babiinoti Boduong, has found herself at the centre of a brewing controversy involving a duped U.S man.
Moesha has made it quite clear that her employment is finding rich men and smashing them down in exchange for cash to rent and buy fuel into her vehicles.
She’s never been shy about that, telling it to the whole world on Amanpour; yet she’s now being accused of engaging in yet another form of fraud to make some money from someone in America.
The story was told on a reality tv show in the U.S where the man in question had been dating ‘Moesha’ for a while. They met online and developed a relationship, chatting most times and chopping online love, although they never met.
Eventually, the man sent some amounts of cash to this ‘Moesha’ he had been dating after ‘she’ requested for it.
After she took the money she bolted, and the guy was forced to search for her on Instagram based on her picture. When contacted, Moesha denied ever chatting with the man and said someone must have used her picture and name to dupe him.
However, the ID used to withdraw the money also had Moesha’s pic on it, although the name was ‘Alana’.
The case does sound like a classic case of internet fraud or ‘sakawa’.
