Similar to what most of the legendary reggae musicians and some visionary African leaders keep on preaching the good news about Africa and telling us to put away the white mentality and come together as one, the Ghanaian UK-based rapper, Fuse ODG has also backed it up!
Born Richard Nana Abiona, popularly known by his stage name Fuse Off Da Grounds (ODG) has preached that the time has come for Africa to emancipate itself from mental slavery.
In an interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz Show with Andy Dosty, Fuse ODG stated that even though Ghana has gained independence from its colonial masters yet we are mentally not independent.

“We need to free ourselves mentally and physically as well. We’ve gained independence on paper but have we actually gained independence physically.
Why are we embracing the people who did what they did back then? I am not saying they are nice people but I just want to know why we are embracing them? Why are we still dancing for these people? It’s 2019 now”! he said.
