As the years go by and Ghanaians see no sign of the return of Castro da Destroyer, it becomes inevitable that it has to be accepted that he has died.
Whilst many people do accept that, some others also do not and continue to hold out hope that he’s still alive and hiding in another country. Over the years we have heard stories of Castro ‘sightings’ in countries such as Togo, Benin, Australia and many others.
For now Castro has not been declared officially dead due to the fact that it has to be 7 years before it can be done.
One of his great friends, music producer Appietus who worked on many hit tracks with him, has revealed that he continues to miss Castro every day.

“Even yesterday I was playing “Kuntu No Mu”. I updated it on my Facebook and WhatsApp status yesterday so a lot of DJs were playing it. It’s not me alone, everyone is missing Castro.” Appietus said during an interview on Radio Central.
Appietus added that it’s almost seven years since his passing and if nothing changes, they would reluctantly have to hold his funeral.
“The law says if after 7 years and he is not back it means he is dead. It’s almost 7 years now”, the award winning sound engineer lamented.
Castro, his good friend Asamoah Gyan and some others were on holiday in Ada in July 2014 when Castro and Janet Bandu went missing from their jet skis.
Neither body has been found till date.
