Each time we think Kwesi Nyantakyi’s FIFA ban and fine brouhaha has calmed down, something else stirs it up, making it much worse than it was before.
Mr Jon Benjamin, the former British High commissioner to Ghana, has landed on Nyantakyi again after gifting him 2.0 Ghana Cedis cash to pay some of his FIFA fines.
Jon Benjamin has recalled what Mr Nyantakyi said after Mr Issa Hayatou was kicked out of his post as CAF Boss back in March 2017.
He shared a picture on his Twitter page containing words on how Kwesi Nyantakyi mocked Mr Hayatou.
According to Mr Benjamin, he believes Mr Nyantakyi’s current predicament is the work of Karma riding against him.
“What Kwesi Nyantakyi said after the ousting of Issa Hayatou as CAF president in March 2017. I think this is called #Karma,” he captioned his post.
Here are Nyantakyi’s words: “People were yearning change…When change is coming, nothing can stop it. There’s nothing. No man or woman can stop it and that is what happened. The wind came like a Hurricane and if you tried to stop it, you would be carried off your feet. So from time to time, this phenomenon would occur.
“And nothing should stop it. And the lesson that we should all learn is that when you are in leadership, a time will come that you move on, if you don’t move on, you would be moved away all of us including me…”
