Rufftown records’ artiste, Wendy Shay appeared in our headline a few days ago where social media users bashed her for performing her explicit songs to some group of kids at a birthday party.
Following her show, many entertainment pundits have also shared their opinions with regards to her stage performance with the kids, one of such pundits is Arnold Mensah Alavanyo.
Arnold Alavanyo Mensah in an interview on Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda with Sammy Flex as the host said we should not blame the female singer for performing her songs at the party.
He explained the show organizers already knew the kind of songs Wendy Shay has been doing but they insisted on going for her instead of going for other kid artistes.

“First of all the organizers knew the artiste they were bringing and the kind of songs she has. They could have gone for a kids star who probably has songs that will fit the occasion but they decided to go for Wendy Shay and she accepted to do the job knowing very well the kind of songs she has but knowing that you are going to perform for kids, there something called responsibility.
Once you have accepted, there is a way u can do your performance and be responsible for the kids. You are a public figure and you have influenced so if you have been contracted to come and perform to kids, you would have to consider the welfare of the kids,” he told Sammy Flex.
