The unemployment problem in Ghana continues to grow out of proportion and even having what one might consider a ‘safe’ job with a top company like Media General is no inoculation.
The axe of joblessness can fall on your head at anytime, as 25 workers of TV3 are now discovering to their dismay.
According to reports, the TV3 Network has carried out a laying off exercise, terminating the contracts of 25 staff workers.
The affected workers have been handed their dismissal letters and paid two months salary.
Workers of Onua Fm, 3Fm and some members of the company’s marketing department are part of those affected.
This isn’t the first laying off exercise the company is holding in recent memory either – 100 workers reportedly lost their job in a similar exercise last year.
