Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr aka Shatta Wale held an interview on Joy99.7 FM’s Super Morning Show with host Daniel Dadzie. The generally political talk show which is arguably one of the most listened to radio show in Ghana gave the self-acclaimed dancehall king the honor and opportunity to be interviewed.
Prior to the release of Shatta Wale’s studio album christened “The Reign” which has now peaked number six on the Billboard chart in America he went on a radio tour to promote and create the awareness about the album. During the radio tour, he disrespected Sarkodie, the most decorated African rapper on almost every platform he went on describing him as a hypocrite, fool, poor etc to the amazement of most people reason being that a lot of people thought both of them were the best of friends.
Sarkodie did not take Shatta’s respect lightly and replied to him with a very serious diss track he titled “Advice” he really took Shatta to the cleaners. Shatta Wale seems very hurt with Sark’s diss song and even said on Joy FM that he is not going to talk to Sarkodie again, he will only speak to him again if and only if he comes to apologize to him in the media.
The host of the program sought to find out from Shatta Wale when he is replying Sarkodie’s diss track. The Champion of Ghana music said he will not reply Sarkodie because first of all, he is a dancehall artist while Sark is a hip-hop artist. Furthermore, when he decides to reply him he will not hold back anything. He says he will diss Sarkodie to the extent that his mother will advise him to come and beg him for forgiveness.
