The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has been indefinitely closed.
The school campus has been the venue of massive riots leading to destruction of property today, stemming from a student demonstration gone wrong.
Students were given permission to demonstrate over some school policies they disagreed with but it devolved into violence, with cars of lecturers and school property being destroyed by the irate students.
In light of that, school authorities have decided to close down the school after a meeting with the Ashanti Regional Security Council.
Students are supposed to be under curfew between 6am-6pm today, then have till latest by 12pm Tuesday to leave the premises of the school.
