WBO super bantamweight champion Isaac ‘Royal Storm’ Dogboe is set to go up for his second title defence in December this year.
Dogboe would take on Mexican slugger Emmanuel Navarrete at the world famous Madison Square Garden in a 12 round bout on December 8th.
Dogboe, undefeated, won his world title from Jesse Magdanelo in a cracking fight in Philadelphia in April, surviving a first round knockout to win in 11 rounds with a knockout.
It maintained an impressive 21-0 (14 KOs) record for the Ghanaian, whose victory over Magdanelo forced the world to sit up and take notice and landed him a deal with Bob Arum’s Top Rank.

His first title defence went smoothly, knocking out his Japanese opponent Hidenori Otake in the first round of their bout.
Navarrete would provide a sterner test and Dogboe’s camp is ready for the challenge.
“Many boxers come and go like the common cold, but Isaac ‘Royal Storm’ Dogboe is here to stay,” Paul Dogboe, Isaac’s father and trainer said.
“This is it. New York, here we come.”
