Few days before Charle Nii Armah Mensah aka Shatta Wale launched his much successful studio album dubbed “The Reign”, he received the most killer diss song of his musical career from no other person than his bosom friend and the most successful African rapper Micheal Owusu Addo aka Sarkodie.
The diss track came out from Sarkodie as a result of the countless number of unnecessary and incessant attacks thrown to the brand and person from Shatta Wale as he embarked on his radio tour to promote his “Reign” album. He went to the extent of calling Sarkodie a fool and poor on live radio. This infuriated the rapper making him record a knockout of a diss song for his friend.
Sarkodie said in his diss song that Shatta Wale does not put on original chains and the number of chains he put on and claims to be rich is all made from aluminum. But Kumawod actor Yaw Adu aka Sunsum has waded in this argument and come to the conclusion that Sarkodie was drunk while doing the song because all the chains Shatta put on are all made of Gold. He said Shatta Wale gave him one of his chains and when he went to test it was pure gold.
