The Director of the Golden Movie Awards (GMA), Mimi Andani-Michaels, was one of the exceptional achievers awarded over the weekend during the 2018 edition of the 40 under 40 awards.
Mimi was chosen as one of the young, brilliant and accomplished business leaders under 40 years of age to be rewarded at the annual awards ceremony.
Full name Wilhemina Andani-Michaels, Mimi was chosen not just for her exceptional business acumen but for her efforts over the years to help aspiring young business leaders to fulfil their fullest potential.
Mimi, despite the full plate of work she has to carry out herself, oversees several mentorship programs and philanthropic works. Using her story as a motivating tool Mimi inspires budding entrepreneurs across the continent through the Tony Elemelu Entrepreneurial programme in Nigeria and African Entrepreneurs Award by BMCE Bank of Morroco, positions she has been impressively carrying out for over 5 years.

Mimi also created a business hub called ImentorU which served as a platform that helps young and upcoming entrepreneurs including small business owners to leverage social media, branding and networking to expand their business territories and increase sales and that has been successful for the last 3 years with about 200 plus entrepreneurs in the tribe.
She has also served as co-founder for the non-profit ‘The Michaels Family Initiative’, which seeks to help vulnerable women and children in the areas of health and education.
Mimi, as we reported not that long ago, is the queen of reinvention, having started her time in the public eye as a reality star and singer but now massively respected as an uber successful corporate guru.
And thus it’s no surprise that she continues to be recognized for her good works both as a successful businesswoman and a glittering role model.
Earlier this year, the City People Magazine recognized her as the Best Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year at its 10th Awards Scheme.
And yet another recognition, the 40 under 40 awards, has followed suit. It was held at the Kempinski Hotel over the weekend and Mimi was in attendance to pick up her latest award, the deserved recognition of her immense achievements.
The award recognized 40 Ghanaian business executives who have achieved so much and would definitely achieve a lot more going forward.
