October 6 has officially been set aside as “WIZKID Day” to honour and celebrate Nigerian superstar, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun aka Wizkid by the Governor of Minnesota, Mark Dayton in the United States of America.
This huge landmark is to celebrate Wizkid’s enviable achievements in the music fraternity and also his role as a cultural influencer.
Wizkid undoubtedly has achieved a lot as a musician, he is the first African musician to sell out the Skyway Theatre Minneapolis.
He also made a Billboard number a hit ‘One Dance’ with Canadian rapper Drake, selling out the 02 Arena London, walking the runaway with Dolce and Gabbana, bagging prestigious international awards and many other enviable feats.
