Kumasi Asante Kotoko have appointed former Black Stars captain C.K Akunnor as the club’s new head coach.
Akunnor has signed a three year deal with the Porcupine Warriors, the two time African Champions announced Monday.
The signing took place at the Sports Hotel in Kumasi earlier today, with C.K Akunnor present alongside Kotoko’s Chief Executive Officer, George Amoako, and management members Yaw Amo Sarpong, Samuel Sarfo Duku (esq), Edmund Ackah and Nana Kwame Dankwah.
After a fruitful career playing at the highest level in Europe and for the Black Stars, C.K Akunnor ventured into management and has so far coached some of the biggest clubs in the country, including Accra Hearts of Oak, Ashantigold and now, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Akunnor signs a deal until 2021.
