“Gospel Songs These Days Make No Sense” ─ Singer Amy Newman

Published by

Ghanaian gospel artiste, Amy Newman has expressed bitterness about the kind of lyrics used in most of the Ghanaian gospel songs being played these days.
According to Newman, she feels very sad when she listens to some of these songs they call gospel which carries no better inspirational messages as compared to the gospels released a few years back.

“Sometimes get worried and confused about the kind of songs the new crop of gospel musicians put out. During our time, the likes of Mary Ghansah, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Tagoe Sisters, Stella Dugan, Yaw Sarpong and the rest did songs that were inspiring.
The lyrics in the songs should have a positive impact on anyone who listens to it but it’s unfortunate that is not what we hear now, she said during an interview with Showbiz”, she said.

Speaking in the interview, she said gospel songs these days carries no better messages because modern gospel artiste have no patience to wait upon God’s direction before releasing songs.
“I could pray in my room for two or three days for directions before I put ou a song. After that two-day prayer, any song I release was always inspiring and made a great impact”, she revealed.
