An 18 year old student of the Effiduase SHS in the Sekyere East District of the Ashanti Region has died after being stabbed by some unknown assailants.
The student, identified as one Derrick Adjei, popularly known as Tygar Lee, was a business student in the school and part of ‘Form 3B’.
According to reports, Tygar Lee left the school premises last night to watch a football game, then after returning told friends he wanted to attend to the call of nature, only for his friends to hear that he had been stabbed.
The stabbing reportedly occurred behind the school’s fence. Agyei was found with multiple stab wounds including one in the neck.

It’s unknown what precipitated the stabbing or even whether the perpetrator(s) was even one or multiple assailants.
Fear and panic has reportedly gripped students and parents whose wards are in the school, with authorities keeping tight lipped on the issue.
Currently, a police team from the Efiduase Divisional Police Command have been deployed to the school and are carrying out their investigation.
