When it comes to movie making in Ghana, we have two main categories ─those who use the local language more often in their movies (Kumawood) and those who use the foreign language especially English (Ghallywood).
There are perceptions that the Kumawood actors and actresses are not as good as their colleagues in the Ghallywood movie industry.
However, Actor and Lecturer at the University of Ghana, Adjetey Annan aka “Pusher” has rubbished these perceptions.
According to the “Things We Do For Love” actor, the fact that Kumawood actors do not use English language and big vocabularies does not mean they are not good.
“People think those in Kumawood are shallow but sometimes they are way better, their delivery is spontaneous and natural”, he said.

“We are just good with the vocabulary but they are the big deal”, Pusher told Andy Dosty during an interview on Hitz FM.
