President of the Ghana Arts and Tourism Association (ATWAG), Mr William Asiedu has pleaded with the government to appoint tourism ambassadors who are business minded.
Speaking during an interview with KMJ on ‘Showbiz Now’ on JoyPrime, he stated that when business minded persons are appointed they will help boost the tourism industry in terms of infrastructure.
“What’s the objective of putting together that team of ambassadors? What were the key performance indicators that we sitting back will use to judge them?”,he quizzed.
He added that some of our artistes and other popular business minded celebrities are such people who must be appointed as ambassadors.

“I would have picked businessmen like Kwame Despite, Sikkens or Wiyaala who is now all over the world…people who can give us the returns we need.
For me when I am talking about tourism, I am talking business because the fun part will come when the business is done”, he added.
