The Ghanaian movie industry is currently not on its feet as compared to some years back ─precisely 2012/2013 where the majority of Ghanaians itched to watch local movies.
Some A-list actresses, actors and industry insiders have blamed the collapse of the movie industry on the introduction of foreign telenovelas on the various local television channels.
Actress Yvonne Nelson somewhere in 2016 attempted to demonstrate against the introduction of these foreign telenovelas and petition the President of the Republic to step in and help revamp the collapsed movie industry.
This move by Yvonne Nelson did not see the light of day because those who mattered did not throw their weight behind her.
A lot has been said about why the movie industry isn’t doing well recently ─with some blaming it on the arrogance of some actors and actresses.
Ghanacelebrities.com has sighted a photo of Yvonne Nelson, Kafui Danku, Adjetey Anang with the first lady of the Republic, Rebecca Akufo-Addo at her office and one thing is clear, it is all about finding ways to revamp the collapsed Ghanaian movie industry.
