The debate as to whether Indian Hemp (Marijuana) should be legalised in Ghana still hangs around the necks of decision makers as South Africa and others African countries have taken bold steps to legalise it after realising it’s importance to the flourishing of their economies.
Musicians such as Samini, Kwaw Kese, Blakk Rasta and the likes have all advocated for the legalisation of “Wee” with reasons that it would boost Ghana’s tattered economy.
Now, popular political analyst, Kwesi Pratt has shared his opinion as to whether the illicit drug should be legalised in the country or not.
Kwesi Pratt who appeared on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” Morning Show with Kwame Sefa-Kayi stated that Ghanaian leaders should open their minds and think deeply on the issue of the legalisation of Marijuana.
Uncle Kwesi as popularly called schooled Ghanaian leaders on the economic importance of Marijuana. He indicated that the illicit drug isn’t only for smoking purposes and that Ghanaian leaders should rethink its legalisation.
Kwesi Pratt ‘prophesied’ that if our leaders do not open their minds and see the economic impacts the legalisation of Marijuana will have on Ghana’s economy, then Ghana is likely to import Marijuana from the United States in some 20 years to come.
