The long running case of assault, stealing and causing harm brought by Afia Schwarzenegger against her former husband might end up a classic Ghanaian ‘foolish case’ as the defence has decided to file for the case to be thrown out.
The defence made their intentions known at the last court date when both the complainant (Afia Schwarzenegger) and the prosecuting attorneys failed to turn up.
At the court’s penultimate sitting, the judge informed the prosecution to produce their last witness by yesterday’s court date, 17th September, or be forced to close their case; thus after failing to turn up Monday the prosecution’s case was considered closed.
After that, Abrokwah’s lawyer informed the court of his intention to file for ‘no case’.
The presiding judge instructed him to file for a ruling to be delivered by October 2nd.

If the judge rules positively on the ‘no case’ submission, the defence would not have to even present its case.
The former married couple ended up in court after the explosive events of last year when Abrokwah ‘caught’ Afia Schwar in bed with another man and threatened her, allegedly, with acid.
He’s also accused of recording her and later spreading the video on social media.
