The world football governing body Fifa has extended the 90 day ban handed to former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi from all football activities by another 45 days.
Fifa handed the initial three month ban to Nyantakyi following the bombshell Anas ‘Number 12’ report which showed him accepting a ton of cash from investigators and entering into illegal deals.
The suspension came down on June 8th, two days after ‘Number 12’ premiered in Ghana and is set to expire September 6th.
Fifa has thus extended it by a further 45 days as they continue their investigations into corruption allegations against Mr Nyantakyi.
Prior to his ban, Nyantakyi was head of the Ghana Football Association, 1st Vice President of the Confederations of African Football and a member of Fifa’s Executive Council. He lost all positions due to his ban from all football related activities.
