Musician Guru and his team have donated a brand new Ambulance to the good people of Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region of Ghana to aid in health care delivery.
This year the issue of Ambulances have become a huge issue of national discussion. Many people have died in this country both in Rural and Urban Communities as a result of unavailability of ambulances to cart sick people to various health care facilities.
A country like Ghana cannot boast of about 50 Ambulances that are in good and proper conditions which can be used to safeguard emergency situations when the need arises. When tragedy befalls you in this country you cannot rely on the Ambulance Service of Ghana because at the material moment you cannot get through to them, when you are able to get through to them too you will hear a disheartening message that all the Ambulances are not in proper condition to come to your aid.
The only plausible thing that can be done to you in an emergency situation is for you to be stashed into the back of a taxi or a rickety vehicle. If luck eludes you, you will die before you get to the hospital. The hospitals are even not safe because you will be treated on the bare floor due the unavailability of beds.
