Tennis Star, Serena Williams had said even before her baby turned one that she would not be throwing a birthday party for her because of her faith as a Jehovah Witness and she made good on that.
Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. turned one last Saturday, September 1st and so untypical of celeb kids, her big one was not marked to the envy of the world.
A fan just cannot come to terms with it because he singularly feels little Alexis has missed out on a big day but Serena’s Reddit Co-founder hubby, Alexis gave him the perfect response.
The proud father shared a picture of his baby girl with a simple caption that had none of the birthday wordings in it and a fan went straight for the comment box.
“It’s so sad that Olympia will not have a BD party,” the fan expressed his disappointment. Then came the reply from Alexis.
“I’m not a Witness, but I considered how made up it all is: the purpose of celebrating a birthday is to celebrate life with the people who love you (and to eat cake).
“This baby is loved and will get to celebrate life with people who love her *plenty* of times, with plenty of parties (and eat cake — in moderation) throughout her life.”
