Foreign Acts Being 'Snubbed' In Another Country Is Completely Normal — Sammy Flex

Over the past week the conversation in Gh showbiz has all been centred around the ‘snub’ suffered by our artists in Nigeria during the Zylofon Media/Menzgold office launch.
The top Ghanaian artists who are the ‘big dogs’ here all got humiliated as the Nigerian crowd turned to corpses the moment they mounted the stage.
A huge conversation has sprung up over that with Ghanaians angry over the treatment handed to our stars.
However, Communications Director of Zylofon Media, veteran showbiz personality Sammy Flex, has played down the incident and said it’s simply normal.
Flex, speaking on Radio Univers, cited South African rapper Nasty C who he said had a similar issue when he came to Ghana.

“Our songs that are played in this town and the artists we sent there to perform was the problem because most of the Nigerians didn’t know the songs and were not familiar with our artists which is normal so it’s not a challenge,” he said.
“We were in this town when Nasty C, a big act in South Africa came to perform but nobody moved to his songs because his songs were not big here. This has also happened to other foreign acts So I won’t say it’s a challenge’’.
Elaborating further, Sammy said the purpose of their concert was to generate buzz for the two new offices and on that level it was a rousing success.
“…We the members of Zylofon Media are pleased with the mileage we had in Nigeria because of the event.”, he added.
