Award-winning Ghanaian gospel singer and a professional nurse, Diana Hamilton has disclosed that her father did not want her to become a musician.
The UK-based singer revealed this during an interview on Wednesday 29th August 2018 edition of Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty.
She disclosed that she had the desire to become a musician even when she was a kid and as recognised by a concerned headmaster who advised her father to send her to a musical school but her father at that time, rubbished the headmaster’s advice.
“I have never been to a music school. When I was about leaving for SHS, my headmaster told my dad to send me to a music school but he disagreed. He wanted me to work. He said I shouldn’t make a living out of singing. I am a nurse in the UK but music is my work now,” she told Andy.
