Many Managers Take Their Artists To See A Spiritualist To Enhance Their Career — Mel Kwesi Davies Reveals

Entertainment critic and artist manager Mel Kwesi Davies has admitted that for many artist managers, taking their artist to go see a spiritualist is not an eye scratching occurrence.
According to Davies, many artists believe that those sort of things work for them and sometimes as a manager, you have to go with them to do what they believe works for them in order to bring out their best.
Davies, speaking on Kasapa Fm, recalled how he once went with one of his artists to a spiritualist for a bath because the artist believed that would work for his career.
“I had to travel with my artiste to Brong Ahafo for spiritual fortification by a spiritualist, something my artistes believed in so much so I couldn’t let him down but to go with him on the journey,” he said.
“We sometimes sacrifice to the extent of visiting Fetish priests and other spiritualists just to have a successful career for our artistes.”

Mel continued that managing an artist is one of the most difficult jobs on mother earth and requires constant sacrifice on the part of the manager, sacrifice that sometimes is not even seen or appreciated.
“Artiste management is a difficult work. I’ve seen an artiste manager who sacrificed everything including his own family but he never gave up till the artiste became very successful.”
