Kumawood Is Not 'Dead', We Need Financial Support — PRO Of FIPAG

Published by

Film Production Association of Ghana (FIPAG)’s Public Relation Officer, Madam Roselyn Osei has refuted claims circulating in Ghana that Kumawood movie industry is ‘dead’.
Speaking in an interview on Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda, the PRO stated that the industry is rather facing financial difficulties in their productions but not the other way round.

She explained that Kumawood movie producers have stopped investing their money into producing movies and that has affected the release of movies by the industry.

“Unlike before, where several movies were released per week, Kumawood has been very slow. We are in the eight-month and there are not up to twenty movies on the market,” she noted.
