Ghanaian female Highlife singer, Akosua Agyapong has expressed disappointment in Ghanaian DJ’s for not playing songs with good lyrics on their various radio stations.
According to Akosua Agyapong, DJ’s have stopped playing songs from veteran musicians which contain good and reasonable lyrics but rather filling the airwaves with songs without meanings.
She disclosed this during an interview with Zylofon FM’s Neeta on Showbiz Agenda. She indicated that some of the radio stations charge money before songs from the veteran musicians are played.

“If I release a song, I’m expected to pay but these young artistes enjoy free airplay though our songs make much more meaning than theirs,” she said.
