Okomfo Kwadee Calls For Government To Pay More Attention To Mental Health — My Music Would Fight Drug Abuse When I Return

Veteran Gh rapper Okomfo Kwadee has revealed he’s getting ready to make a comeback to the industry after years of getting treated for drug addiction and mental instability.
Kwadee has vowed to fight drug addiction in his music when he fully returns and his next album would be based on that topic entirely.
Recently stories came out that Kwadee had been abandoned by his family and colleagues at the rehab centre where he has been receiving treatment for the past several years.
Since the story came out his family has come out to debunk it and MUSIGA has paid him a visit to donate items to him.
Speaking out from his treatment centre, Kwadee said fighting drug abuse, which is what got him in trouble, would be very important to him.

He also called on government to really fight the menace of mental illness by devoting resources.
“When I come back, the message is going to be more about the youth and how to come out of all these drug abuse and street kind of life,” he said.
“…I plead on our leaders, especially the President and all the chiefs to help create an awareness for people to stop neglecting those with mental problems. We should all pay attention to such people and let them feel part of society,”
