Former Black Stars midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari made the day for many players of Accra Hearts of Oak when he trained with them and ended up handing them $100 gifts at the end.
Anyone who follows the local league knows such a sum (approximately Ghc 480) is a windfall to local players — some of whom earn even less than that monthly.
Muntari is currently without a team after his short stint with Deportivo La Coruna came to an end and he’s keeping in shape whilst in Ghana.
On Monday, Muntari was at the Legon Ajax Park to train with Hearts of Oak players and at the end, handed them the gifts.
