Photos of the policeman who assaulted a lady at Midland Savings and Loans, Frederick Amanor Skalla, hit the web Friday not long after the video went viral.
Amanor was seen in one of the photos with recently married actor John Dumelo.
Many have been questioning why Dumelo has been seen in a photo with this woman beater and the actor has come out to defend himself.
Writing on social media, he said he’s a friendly dude who takes pics with all who ask therefore him being in a pic with the guy means nothing. He also pointed out that the picture is old.

Dumelo continued by categorically condemning the assault.
He wrote: “Bro, this picture must have been taken ages ago. But the policeman is a coward for doing what he did. Under no circumstance should he have physically abused that woman. I’m a friend to everyone and hence I do take pictures when asked. It’s unfortunate the assault incident happened but I believe the Police service will deal accordingly with the policeman. Men who beat women are cowards let alone a man assigned to protect us. God bless Ghana.”
