John Boye Makes 'HISTORY' — Named In List Of Ten Greatest World Cup Own Goals Of All Time (VIDEO)

Ghanaian defender John Boye has achieved a perhaps unwanted milestone after he was named in a list of the ten most incredible own goals ever scored at the World Cup.
Boye’s own goal against Portugal in the 2014 Fifa World Cup was good enough to earn him second place on the list of “10 most incredible World Cup own goals”, as compiled by Four Four Two Magazine.
Boye scored the first goal in Ghana’s 2-1 loss to Portugal in the 2014 World Cup Group stage game, slicing a clearance above Fatau Dauda’s head into his own net.
Although Ghana equalized through Asamoah Gyan, Portugal won the game late on after another defensive blunder gifted Ronaldo a goal.
Boye’s acrobatic effort has ended up being ‘honoured’ by Four Four Two as the 2nd most incredible world cup own goal of all time.
Four Four Two is a UK based magazine published monthly by Haymarket. It is one of the world’s foremost footy magazines and is available in over 16 languages.
