Uk Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, one of the major campaigners for Brexit, has resigned his position at the peak of negotiations for the country’s exit from the European Union.
Johnson’s resignation comes just a day after another cabinet member — Brexit Secretary David Davis — stepped down.
The duo both harboured strong reservations about the Brexit deal reached between Theresa May and the EU.
Johnson was one of the strongest campaigners for ‘Leave’ during 2016’s acrimonious Brexit campaign and was the face of the campaign.
However, as negotiations for Brexit continue the deal being reached has angered the most conservative members of the party and Theresa May has a full blown crisis to deal on her hand as she attempts keeping her colleagues in line.
