Kumawood actor, Yaw Adu aka Sunsum has lamented over the ill-treatment given to him by people as a result of his ugly looks.
In an interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso on the “Delay Show”, Sunsum recounted how a man gave him a “dirty” slap after begging the man for money in his hometown — just because of his ugly looks.
He disclosed that life at a point became so difficult that he had to beg and sell “polythene bag” to survive.
Fast-forwarding to 2018, the very man who slapped him as a result of his ugly looks called him a few weeks ago “begging” him to escort him to the funeral of a late relative.
“There was a time that I begged for alms from a guy and he slapped me because of how I looked. It happened in my hometown. But some few weeks ago, he called me to ask me to escort him to his dead mother’s funeral,” Sunsum narrated.
He disclosed that he inherited his ugly looks from his mother and grandmother but people just discriminated against him as if he created himself.
“Some people respected me. Others also disrespected me. They saw me as the son of a poor person. They spoke with much disgust when sending me on an errand. There was no respect,” Sunsum cried out.
