American Referee (Mark Geiger) Helped England To Kick Out Colombia — Diego Maradona

Argentine legendary footballer Diego Amando Maradona has blamed Pierluigi Collina for choosing an American referee, Mark Geiger to officiate the just ended World Cup game between Colombia and England in Russia.
According to Maradona, the Columbians output in the game deserved a straight win but the American who stood as a middleman to officiate was not the right man to handle the game.

Speaking in an interview with a Venezuelan broadcaster, Telesur, disclosed that he saw the game to be badly officiated against the Columbians.

He said;

“I saw a monumental theft. I apologise to all the Columbian people, but they must know the players are not to blame. It is the man who decides the referee who is is to blame. A man like that (Geiger) should not be put in charge of a game of that magnitude.

“With all due respect, Pierluigi Collina, as the man who designates the referees, he is very bad. He must apologize to the Columbian people”.
