Adisadel College Clocks Narrow Victory Over Mfantsipim In 2018 NSMQ Semi Finals Clash

The first semi final contest of the 2018 National Science and Maths Quiz has come to an end and once again, Adisadel College has marched all the way through to the final contest.
The ‘Santa Clausians’ won a tight battle against Mfantsipim School, scrambling over a line with four more points after a tight five rounds of action.
The final scores was 48 points for Adisadel College, 44 points for Mfantsipim and 26 points for Ghana National College – sending Adisco to their fourth consecutive final!
The first semi final battle had been billed as a contest between the two traditional powerhouses and it delivered as the contestants for both schools attacked the questions with vigour and kept pace with each other.
The points total was neck and neck through the first two rounds but Adisadel took a huge leap towards victory after they nearly aced the ‘Problem of the Day’ question whilst Mfantsipim badly flopped it.

Their 9 points haul for that question compared to Mfantsipim’s 2 points opened up a near insurmountable lead which they defended throughout the finals rounds to end with their narrow four point lead.
‘Adisco’ with the win return to the final stage of the competition they lost to Prempeh College last year.
