Celebrated gender activist, human rights lawyer and longtime NDC politician, Nana Oye Lithur, has responded to allegations levelled against her in the leaked divorce writ filed by her husband.
In a statement, Nana Oye denies all the salacious accusations thrown against her by her husband in the suit filed at divorce court.
The two lawyers are seeing the end to their long term marriage play out in the public eye after the suit Tony Lithur filed hit the press.
In it, he claimed that his wife has over the years exhibited cruel and violent conduct, dishonesty and even on a couple of occasions infidelity.
Lithur, in the suit alleges that throughout their marriage Nana Oye has been violent, particularly towards numerous house helps they’ve hired and even towards family members who came to stay with them.

However, Nana Oye has responded and denied all these allegations.
According to her, the matter should rather be a private and not a public issue, but she firmly denied the accusations, writing: “Everyone who knows me and everything I stand for knows that the unfortunate allegations against me can not be true.”
