The long time marriage of top NDC lawyers Tony and Nana Oye Lithur has screeched to a halt, with the former having filed for divorce from the celebrated gender activist.
In a petition filed at the divorce court division of the Accra High Court, Tony Lithur calls for an end to their marriage, listing a litany of accusations against Nana Oye.
According to Lithur, who was lead counsel for Former President Mahama during the election petition, his wife has over the years exhibited cruel and violent conduct, dishonesty and even on a couple of occasions infidelity.
Lithur, in the suit alleges that throughout their marriage Nana Oye has been violent, particularly towards numerous house helps they’ve hired and even towards family members who came to stay with them.
Lithur also details times he believes his wife cheated on him without any regard for his ‘sensibilities’, and also said despite her own cheating she constantly accused him of cheating on her even if she just sees him talking with another lady or working with another lady.
He revealed he has been considering divorce for a while but Nana Oye has begged him on such occasions not to divorce her.
