Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper and the immediate boss of Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Abdul Malik Kwaku Baako Jr, has denied GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi ever said that he has the President of the Republic in his pocket.
Kwaku Baako, speaking on Newsfile earlier today (Saturday), sought to clarify some misconceptions which has surrounded the astounding case of Kwesi Nyantakyi for alleged fraud, captured in Anas’ upcoming documentary.
One of the most reported on ‘facts’ surrounding the case is that the GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, told the investors he met that he has the President in his pocket.
However, according to Baako, it is inaccurate to say Nyantakyi said exactly those words – that he has the President in his pocket.
“There is no such thing as the president is in my pocket,” he said.
According to him, Nyantakyi might have said some words to that effect but he specifically never uttered those words.
Baako also said far from defending Nyantakyi, he is sure, based on the video, that the FA boss was indeed peddling influence using the name of the President and his Veep.
