Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall artiste, Samini has bragged that he is the King of African Dancehall genre because he created it.
Samini Dagarti who appeared on TV3’s ‘After Hours’ show hosted by Mikki Osei Berko stated without mincing words that he is comfortably sitting on his throne.

“African Dancehall is the genre I created so I’m still the King for that. Foreign market for African Dancehall is huge. Africa is doing Dancehall from the authentic point of view so then it becomes a specialized genre from Africa. Ghanaians or West Africans do dancehall music almost close to how Jamaicans do it”, he said.

Samini is one of the finest Reggae/Dancehall artistes on the continent who signed his first record deal with Ashanti international.
The boss of Highgrade Family record label has six studio albums to his credit. He came into limelight after the release of his single, ‘Linda’.
