The Ghana Football Association has signed a five year deal with Zylofon Cash to become the headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League.
The Nana Appiah Mensah owned company, which is a subsidiary of his free spending Zylofon Media group, have been talks with the FA for a while, with the deal officially signed today (Thursday).
The deal is for five years with the figure involved undisclosed.
“Zylofon Media has proudly taken the decision to be the headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League for the next five years”, Nana Appiah Mensah said at the unveiling in Accra Thursday.
He added that the decision to sponsor the league is a “patriotic and mutually beneficial,” one.
“We are eternally grateful to the Chief Executive Of Zylofon Group, Nana Appiah Mensah and his team for their decision to invest in the Ghana Premier League and Ghana football.” said GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi.
“I will like to assure you that your decision to come on board as a sponsor is laudable step taken and a very worthy cause you are pursuing.
“We must all avail ourselves to ensure that the benefits we have ensured for Zylofon Cash are delivered without a hindrance.” he added.
The deal comes at a time that the GFA has come under public scrutiny which is only set to intensify with the release of Anas’ upcoming documentary, ‘Number 12’.
