After receiving some fire from Yvonne Okoro and numerous social media feminists, all of a sudden KOD is retreating into his one corner and distancing himself from his own comments.
The veteran broadcaster made waves after his revelation of Dumelo’s impending marriage and also, his attached message in which he said Dumelo chose a calm lady and not one ‘all over’ the place.
That comment generated backlash from feminists and others, who tagged it misogynistic, with actress Yvonne Okoro leading the pack. She slammed KOD for saying only calm ladies attract men and for smearing other ladies as ‘all over the place’.
KOD has now responded to the backlash his comments generated and clarified that he did not mean female celebrities or hard working women in his own, but that he was simply aiming for the so-called ‘slay queens’.
“I will never attack women, I always speak for women and I will continue to speak for women. I have all sisters and I have all daughters. I’m the last to speak against women.” he said.
“All my life I have spoken for women. The comment was not directed at female celebrities, they were not on my mind at all. It was more about the so-called slay queens and stuff like that”. he said on the Zone on Starr Fm Monday.
