Sometimes it takes a few words of encouragement from your favourite celebrity to get you through some hard times. We see people on our screens and hear their voices on the radio only to assume they have it easy in life and things always go their way, but behind all the glitz and glamour are real stories of real people with real challenges. If people were to look like what they have been through in life, we would all be looking like zombies, but through the ups and downs, smiles and frowns we forge ahead with determination because we know that no situation is permanent and no matter what you’re going through, this too shall pass.
Kumawood actress Emelia Brobbey took to Instagram to shower her followers with some words of encouragement and let them know that the road hasn’t been easy even for her but the right attitude will take you places. She said even though life has knocked her down a few times and she has experienced her fair share of failures and disappointments, “…one thing is for sure, I always get up. Are you worried or disturbed. That shouldn’t be your portion. The less you worry about what people think, the less complicated life becomes. The truth is that someone else has a bigger challenge than what you see, so stop thinking as if yours is the biggest ever. Life’s short and keep hope alive. Lighten up your face, move on with your life and let happiness be your watchword. One day, your heart will stop beating, and none of your fears will matter. What will matter is how you lived”.
She encouraged her fans not to lose hope in themselves but believe that though the sorrow may last for the night, joy comes with the morning. “Don’t lose hope. Everything happens for a reason. You never know what tomorrow may bring. Small minds can’t comprehend big spirits. To be great, you have to be willing to be mocked, hated and misunderstood. It’s never too late. A determined mind and a positive attitude, will increase your ability to achieve and succeed any goal you want in life. The hardest thing in life is to know which bridge to cross and which to burn. Stay blessed and lead a decent life.”
