Uprising Ghanaian rapper and Zylofon Media signee, Obibini has begged Rex Omar not to kill his career by demanding $1m from him as he has threatened to sue him over his copyright infringement because there is no way he can get that money.
The rapper explained that he used the highlife legend, Rex Omar’s hook/body of ‘Dea Ne Me’ in his song ‘Gogo Wo ho’ just to honour a highlife legend like him (Rex Omar) and stressed that he has nothing, not even a cedi to give him so.
“I greet you Uncle Rex but I won’t get 1 million dollars for you. No disrespect but you know that we have to respect legends like you once in a while by taking some of your old songs. With this million dollar you are demanding from me, do you want to kill my career? With no disrespect to you, uncle Rex go go ho wo ho kakra ma me’, I love and cherish you but I want to say just let me be.”
