In the wake of NAYAS and gospel musician Ernest Opoku’s scandal, a lot of people have added their voices to the trending gaffe— it does not look like this one will die out anytime soon.
As mentioned by Ernest who claims even colleagues in the same industry may not always wish you well, Celestine Donkor is singing a different song. According to her, people in the industry ride on wealth and fame acquisition as the motivation for the work they have been called to do.

Speaking in an interview with “Let’s Talk Showbiz” with Doreen Avio on Joy News, she said:
“It’s true, it’s happening, it looks like a trend but I see it as something that has existed for long and I always say that the fact that you are a gospel artiste or branded as a gospel artiste does not mean that your mission is to reach out, no, some are seeing it as a business and an opportunity to be known, to be famous and it all balls down to you being an artist.
“My worry is the way sometimes they box everybody is one box because we are all gospel artiste and so gospel artiste are like this and people like me or the few ones who are doing their best are also part of that category.”
