Shatta Wale’s ‘Gringo’ has set Ghana on fire since its release as the discussion surrounding it goes on nonstop.
Whilst some claim it is the greatest video ever made out of Ghana, others including the Founding Editor of GhanaCelebrities.Com, Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri, have called it nothing special and described the song itself as trash.
One thing about Shatta Wale is that hate him or love him, he always generates buzz and once again he has shown it as despite the controversy surrounding the video, ‘Gringo’ is racking up impressive viewing numbers on YouTube.

In four days since it was released, Wale’s video has already garnered 559,00 views (and counting) on the video sharing site. In comparison, Stonebwoy, who released his video for his latest single ‘Tomorrow’ just over a week ago, has 475,000 views (and counting).
‘Gringo’ has overtaken ‘Tomorrow’ and it’s not looking back, cauing SM fans of course to once again declare their artist far bigger than Stonebwoy.
