You’d think “beef” would be left for the Gbee Naabus and slay queens to chew, but now we have so-called “men of God” going at each other to prove who is who in the spiritual realms. We all know of Obinim as the self-acclaimed “Angel of God”, but he has a strong contender for the title. The man who recently made waves by performing Shatta Wale’s “Taking Over” in his church is saying Obinim is just a counterfeit angel and that he (Obofuor) is the “realer no”.
The Kumasi-based Prophet, Asanteman Bofuor, better known as Reverend Obofuor, General Overseer of Anointed Palace Chapel has denied claims made by Bishop Obinim that he (Obinim) is his (Obofour) spiritual father and that he does not have any Ghanaian man of God as a spiritual father since they are all evil beings, excluding himself, of course. Reverend Obofour is the owner of TV channel Sweet TV and he took to the station to issue a disclaimer cautioning the General Overseer of International Godsway Church (IGWC) Bishop Obinim against making false claims in a viral video where Obinim boasted about being the spiritual father of Reverend Obofour.
According to Reverend Obofour he doesn’t have any personal relationship with Obinim and they only met once on a business flight where Obinim invited him to pay him a visit at his residence in Accra. He vehemently dissociated his church and brand from anything concerning Obinim and accused the latter of being a false prophet, saying that Obinim’s days are numbered. According to Obofuor, Obinim stole the “angel” title from him when he begun service in order to draw attention to himself and stated emphatically that he (Obofour) is the first and only recognized angel of God, and any other person claiming to be an angel is nothing but a fake liar.
